For a shelter dog in need of temporary housing, even this old house will do.

BAFN recently sent the letter below to the Obama Family.
Please call the Obama Transition Team at 1-202-540-3000,
press 2 and tell the staff that you agree
or forward this page to press@ptt.gov

Dear Obama family,

Please help promote a national trend in animal rescue by offering your new residence up as a Pet Foster Home.

Shelter Dog in Need of FosteringPet Foster programs are becoming a lifesaving solution for overcrowded shelters across the nation.

You and your family can join thousands of other households who’ve lovingly provided for a homeless companion animal until it can be permanently adopted.

Since the founding of the Brooklyn Animal Foster Network (BAFN) in 2005, more than 1,500 cats and dogs have been saved from an uncertain future. It’s one of many grass-root organizations that are cropping up across the nation. As this animal rescue concept grows, it can eventually give millions of homeless pets the "Audacity of Hope".

Of course, the Obamas can "elect" to adopt their foster dog.

Would your family please consider allowing your new home, the White House, to be a Pet Foster Home before permanently adopting?  It will do more to promote the Pet Foster Home concept to the rest of the country than millions in advertising. Please fill out the BAFN Foster Application today.

Sincerely,

Laurie Bleier,

Brooklyn Animal Foster Network
